It has been a while, I'm back
Wow it has been a really long time since I got on my blog. No excuse except I have been up to my ears. Work has been a bit hectic to say the least. Starting a new organization while having 2 of 4 brand managers out is a bit tough (like having 50% of your workforce). I am trying to pitch in and play point which means I am nutty. You probably also know I don't hide my stress well so it has been a rough couple of months.
On top of it all I have been traveling once a week for the past month. Boy is Sarah not happy about it. For the first couple of trips her reply to me was "mom, why can't daddy take this trip." She knows that Arnie and I work for the same company so I think she thinks we do the same thing and can just pinch hit for one another. I had to explain to her that this was not the case. Once she understood that her response for the next couple of trips was "I am coming with you" when I told her I was leaving. I then had to explain that I can't wait for the day when she is old enough to travel with me on some of my trips. But for now that wasn't possible (you know with school and all - not that she wouldn't mind skipping it).
I think my last trip for the year will be to India the week after Thanksgiving. I haven't mentally started to prepare for that one yet. I am still trying to get through this week, the holiday, finishing holiday decorations (given I am gone for a week which cuts my time down), making sure I know our holiday schedules and how I am going to shop for our Salvation Army family and gift giving tree items before they are due on the 8th!!!!
I am sure it will all get done, it always does, sometimes I forget how because it is just auto-pilot that takes over. I know it won't be on Black Friday, that just isn't in my blood. For those of you whose it is in, enjoy and I wish you terrific bargains and short lines.
